Dr. Bello Figuim, neurosurgeon and Deputy Director General of this hospital talked about the place of neurosurgery in the management of hemorrhagic stroke. The last session of this day focused on infections of the central nervous system where Prof. Mapoure N. Yacouba gave a talk on the neurological complications of HIV/AIDS, a major public health problem in our context. During this day, we had the honor of receiving Prof. Njock Louis Richard, Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Health representing the Minister of Public Health. Day 2 started with a practical session on neurological exam and a video clinical case presentation on epileptic seizures and the session on epilepsy. Then we discussed epidemiology, diagnosis and management of headaches in our context. During the last session, we discussed on dementia. During this session, Prof Maouly Fall gave a talk on diagnosis and management of Alzheimer’s disease. We ended this day with a closing ceremony with the presence of the representative of the mayor of the city of Garoua.
